Join our Finance team as a Property Accounting Assistant and help keep our property registers and development records accurate and on track. A great opportunity to build your finance skills while making a difference at Codi. This is a permanent, 37‑hour‑per‑week role, with the option of a 9‑day fortnight.
As a Property Accounting Assistant, you’ll support the Property Accountant by maintaining accurate property and grant records, managing housing system data, assisting with financial reporting, overseeing development scheme transitions, processing sales, and analysing maintenance costs for component replacements on a monthly basis.
If you’re currently working towards your AAT qualification or looking to build your skills and progress into a career in accountancy, this is the perfect opportunity. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across a range of finance activities, including fixed assets, property systems, sales and grant processing. It’s a varied role with real impact, working within a supportive team and offering great opportunities to develop your finance skills.
We have offices in Swansea, Newport, and Cardiff, and your main base will be the office closest to your home address. The team meets once a month on rotation between all 3 offices and you may be required to attend additional team meetings when needed. Otherwise, the role is agile with home working.
Skills & Experience Needed
- Strong data processing skills and confidence in challenging inconsistencies
- Excellent organisational ability and the capacity to prioritise in a busy environment
- Good understanding of IT systems and confidence to adapt quickly
- Experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- GCSEs in Maths and English (grade C or above) and appropriate Excel/numeracy skills
