Overview

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrician with a passion for making a difference in our community to join our team on a Full Time, Permanent basis. We are a housing association committed to providing great homes, care, and support that truly impact people\’s lives.

Pay and Benefits

Time off and Flexibility

  • Our Codi Repairs Team covers areas between Haverfordwest and Monmouthshire, with our office base for this role being Cwmbran covering predominantly between Monmouthshire and Cardiff.
  • Working days are predominately Monday to Friday days or you can work compressed hours on a 9 day fortnight.
  • 26 days holiday, plus Bank holidays. Rising to 31 days with an extra day for each full year of service.
  • Maternity & Adoption Leave: 20 weeks
  • Paternity Leave: 3 weeks
  • The salary is £37,839 for a 40 hour full time permanent position
  • Pension Choices: Defined Contribution (DC) Scheme with matched contributions up to 10%. Or, Defined Benefit (DB) 1/80th of final salary for every year of service.
  • The successful candidate will need a basic DBS check in place, which we pay for.

What is great about the role?

This is a role where you can genuinely see the difference you make every day. As a Multi-Skilled Electrician, you’ll play a key part in improving our homes and supporting the growth of our organisation, helping to create safe, comfortable places for people to live.

You’ll work across a varied and interesting mix of planned works, upgrades and repairs, using your electrical expertise on everything from partial rewires and consumer unit upgrades to wider improvement programmes and reactive jobs. You’ll have the autonomy to work independently, alongside the support and collaboration of a friendly, multi-skilled team.

We also value the extra skills you bring. If you have additional abilities such as basic plumbing, carpentry or plastering, you’ll have the opportunity to use and develop these, adding even more variety to your day and helping us deliver a seamless, customer-focused service.

What skills and experience do you need?

We value individuals who can showcase their expertise in property repairs and maintenance, possess a strong understanding of electrical and general building repairs, and preferably have experience in social housing. Possession of the necessary qualifications and educational background to adequately support all expected responsibilities (please refer to the Job Description for details). A valid driver’s licence is required for the role, and a van will be provided.
