Overview

Pobl Group is seeking a Floating Support Worker for its Mental Health Floating Support Service in Ceredigion. This is a full-time, permanent role.

Job Details

  • Full Time – 37 hours
  • Permanent Contract
  • Salary: £24,531.00
  • Work Pattern: Monday – Friday
  • Full driver\’s licence and access to a vehicle are essential

Responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload and travel to service users’ homes
  • Engage with individuals to establish goals, write up support plans and risk assessments
  • Provide advice on finances, health, welfare benefits, housing options and tenancy management skills
  • Support with housing issues such as rent arrears and applying for grants for white goods
  • Collaborate with external agencies, especially Housing Options in Ceredigion, and signpost services to meet needs
  • Assist with group activities, such as cooking on a budget
  • Support clients to attend appointments (e.g., GP) and accompany when needed

What we are looking for

  • Good organisation, IT and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on an individual basis
  • Resilience to deal with difficult situations and good listening skills
  • Knowledge and experience of working with individuals with mental health needs
  • Knowledge and experience of homelessness, housing & tenancy issues
  • Knowledge and experience of partnership working
  • Full driving licence and ability to use a car for work
  • A willingness to learn; previous experience is not essential
