Overview
Pobl Group is seeking a Floating Support Worker for its Mental Health Floating Support Service in Ceredigion. This is a full-time, permanent role.
Job Details
- Full Time – 37 hours
- Permanent Contract
- Salary: £24,531.00
- Work Pattern: Monday – Friday
- Full driver\’s licence and access to a vehicle are essential
Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload and travel to service users’ homes
- Engage with individuals to establish goals, write up support plans and risk assessments
- Provide advice on finances, health, welfare benefits, housing options and tenancy management skills
- Support with housing issues such as rent arrears and applying for grants for white goods
- Collaborate with external agencies, especially Housing Options in Ceredigion, and signpost services to meet needs
- Assist with group activities, such as cooking on a budget
- Support clients to attend appointments (e.g., GP) and accompany when needed
What we are looking for
- Good organisation, IT and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and on an individual basis
- Resilience to deal with difficult situations and good listening skills
- Knowledge and experience of working with individuals with mental health needs
- Knowledge and experience of homelessness, housing & tenancy issues
- Knowledge and experience of partnership working
- Full driving licence and ability to use a car for work
- A willingness to learn; previous experience is not essential
