Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and making a positive impact on people’s lives? We are looking for a Customer Account Manager to join our team. You will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive high-quality service and support to sustain their tenancies while effectively managing income and minimising customer debt. This role offers variety across settings, providing cover for Customer Account Managers during annual leave, sickness, and peak periods. While the base location is Cardiff, you will travel across all areas we cover depending on need, supporting teams to deliver a consistent, high-quality service.

The role involves being the primary point of contact for customers, delivering a proactive income service and using data to identify customers at risk of debt. You will work collaboratively with internal and external partners to help customers sustain tenancies and reduce arrears.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, delivering a proactive and supportive income service.
  • Use data to identify customers at risk of debt and provide preventative support.
  • Advise, guide, and assist customers in debt, with emphasis on helping them sustain their tenancies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to reduce arrears and improve tenancy outcomes.
  • Effectively manage rent accounts and maximise income while supporting customers in maintaining their tenancies.
  • Travel across operating areas as required; a full driving licence and access to a car are essential.
Qualifications
  • Experience delivering an effective income management service with a track record of teamwork and flexible, person-centred support.
  • Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with external agencies and organisations.
  • Strong knowledge of welfare benefits and local support services available to customers.
  • Commitment to putting customers first, with evidence of delivering customer-focused services.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car; ability to travel across multiple areas as needed.
Location, Hours and Benefits

This is a 37-hour, permanent role with a flexible mix of office and home working and regular in-person team meetings as required. Benefits include a competitive salary and a package designed to support you at work and beyond.

  • £37,726 per annum pro rata
  • Mixture of office and home working, depending on business needs
  • 26 days holiday, pro rata, plus Bank Holidays; rising to 31 days with service
  • Sick Pay, rising with length of service up to 6 months full pay after 4 years
  • Blue Light Card eligibility for discounts at 15,000 brands
  • Continuous professional training and development
  • Mileage paid at 45p per mile plus 5p per passenger per mile
