One full-time Housing First Co-Ordinator in a Housing First Service in Bridgend. The working pattern for the role is predominantly Monday – Friday and weekend support, with flexibility required based on the needs of the service.

About The Role

This is a Housing First Co-Ordinator role based in our Housing First Service, Bridgend. Working alongside the Manager, the Housing First Co-Ordinators provide essential housing support to our diverse group of customers. Managing your own caseload, you will work directly and provide support to people who are sleeping rough on the streets, who may be dealing with problematic behaviour or complex needs. Through the use of housing & support assessments, and alongside working with external agencies - the aim is to get them off the streets, into a tenancy and empowering them to maintain their tenancy and live independently.

Skills And Experience Needed

  • Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people is essential.
  • A full UK Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle is essential for the role.
  • A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible.
  • An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives.
  • A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player.
  • Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations.
  • Collaboration with external agencies.
  • Signposting to the appropriate services.
  • Housing & benefits system.

Pay and Pensions

  • £28,143.00 FTE
