Overview
As a Care Worker you will take a person-centred approach with our valued residents to ensure they are living their life to the fullest. You will support with day-to-day independence, enhance their various skills and support them with daily activities as well as providing emotional support and personal care.

Responsibilities
- Support with daily aspects of living, including medication administration
- Support with cooking skills and other household skills
- Access the community and support to local groups
- Support individuals\\\β hobbies and activities
- Be a team player and have good communication skills
- Complete relevant paperwork to a high standard
- Support individuals to budget finances
- Provide companionship by talking about their interests and wellbeing
- Encourage and facilitate activities that enhance life skills and independence
- Take the people we support out and about; a full driving licence is preferable
- Encourage and support with cleaning and administrative duties
- Bring fresh ideas to the team and implement different ways of working
- Support individuals with their individual needs
Requirements / Qualifications
- Experience working with people or customers
- Experience working as part of a team
- Literacy and numeracy skills
- IT skills
- A background of working with older people with dementia is desirable, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided

Role specifics
We are looking for a passionate and positive individual to join our dedicated team of Care Workers in our Extra Care service in Burry Port. We have 21 hour and relief, permanent positions available. This service operates 24/7, requiring flexibility with shifts, including:
- Day shifts (vary depending on the rota): 7am β 2pm, 7am β 11am, 2pm β 9pm, 5pm β 8pm
- Day Centre shifts: Monday β Friday 9am-5pm
- Waking night shifts: 9:30 pm β 7:30 am
- Hourly rate of Β£12.75 making the annual salary Β£23,868 (36 hour FTE)
