Due to the exciting growth of our in-house team, we’re thrilled to launch a new full-time Apprenticeship opportunity in the Electrical trade starting 1st September 2025. We’re looking for a passionate individual ready to kickstart their careers in construction. As part of our skilled and supportive team, you’ll gain hands-on experience working in people’s homes and across our property portfolio. Where does this role fit in?

You’ll be joining our Pobl Repairs & Maintenance Team as a key member of the next generation of skilled professionals. You’ll support qualified electricians in carrying out installations, maintenance, and improvements across our housing stock, while attending college or training days to develop your knowledge. Great communication, reliability, and enthusiasm are just as important as technical skills!

What You Need To Apply

  • Aged 16+
  • May need to complete an entry assessment
  • One of the following (or equivalent):
    • Level 2 in Construction or Building Services
    • Welsh Baccalaureate
    • 3 GCSEs at A*-C, including maths, English and science/tech

How You’ll Learn

Combination of classroom study and on-the-job training. You’ll complete practical assessments and theory exams throughout the programme.

What are the pay and benefits?

The salary for this role is £25,396.80. 40 hour working week, full time, 4 years apprenticeship. Covering areas from Haverfordwest to Monmouthshire, your office base will be Swansea. Monday to Friday working hours, with flexibility around college days. Travel will be required.

Apprenticeship Assessment Days. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to our Apprenticeship Assessment Day, which will take place on 31st July – Swansea. These engaging, in-person events are designed to give you a real insight into life at Pobl and the apprenticeship experience.

During The Day, You’ll Take Part In:

  • A welcome session where you’ll learn about Pobl, our values, and what it’s like to work with us
  • A fun group activity to show us your teamwork and problem solving skills
  • A practical task linked to your chosen trade
  • Time to chat informally with our current apprentices and Trades team.
  • A short individual interview to explore your motivations and values
