Join us as a Student Property Team Leader in Aberystwyth, on a full-time, permanent basis. This role sits at the heart of student living, helping to create safe, well-maintained, and welcoming places for students to call home. You will lead a small on-site team, work with contractors, and oversee day-to-day operations to keep services running smoothly. We are looking for someone who enjoys organising people and tasks, communicates clearly, and takes pride in well-run environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the on-site team, coordinating day-to-day operations to ensure services run smoothly and safely.
  • Collaborate with contractors and university partners to maintain accommodation facilities and address maintenance issues.
  • Plan and manage workload, allocate resources, and drive continuous service improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and relevant regulations.
  • Provide hands-on leadership, problem solving, and clear communication with students, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Support with property, facilities management, and student accommodation activities as part of the Property & Investment department.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working in a busy, customer-focused environment where organisation and teamwork are important.
  • Background in property, facilities management, student accommodation, or similar settings preferred; transferable skills from other sectors are welcome.
  • Comfortable supporting or supervising others, planning work, and managing your own workload.
  • Strong communication skills with a respectful approach to a wide range of stakeholders (students, colleagues, external partners).
  • Confident using IT systems to record information and track work.
  • Awareness of health and safety responsibilities. Experience with compliance activities or CAFM systems is helpful but not essential if willing to learn.
  • Customer-focused approach, attention to detail, and a full driving licence with access to a car and business insurance.

Salary and Benefits

  • The exact salary is £30,966 for a 40 hour, full-time, permanent position.
  • A basic DBS is required for the role which we pay for.
