About the Role
As a Technical Support Specialist, you will provide first and second-line support for end-user devices and IT infrastructure across DP World's operational sites. Working closely with internal IT teams, you will diagnose and resolve technical issues, support infrastructure projects, maintain technical documentation and help deliver a seamless IT service to the business.
We are looking for candidates who are able to work at site locations at Wellingborough, Greenford or Thameside (London).
How you will contribute:
- Provide first and second-line support for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers and barcode scanners.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network and server-related issues, escalating where appropriate.
- Support local and remote users while delivering a high level of customer service and technical expertise.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, work instructions and support procedures to ensure operational consistency.
- Monitor and respond to service desk alerts, support requests and incident escalations in a timely manner.
- Participate in an on-call support rota, providing out-of-hours support for DP World sites across Europe when required.
- Support infrastructure projects including new site launches, server upgrades, network refreshes and business growth initiatives.
- Follow established change, incident and problem management processes, ensuring compliance with IT and security standards.
- Assist with IT asset management processes, maintaining accurate records throughout the equipment lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams, vendors and business stakeholders to deliver effective technical solutions.
What you will bring:
- Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent professional certifications and relevant technical support experience.
- Proven experience providing first and second-line IT support across end-user devices, operating systems and business applications.
- Strong understanding of desktop hardware, networking technologies (local area network and wide area network) and server environments.
- Experience working with incident management, change management and technical documentation processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues methodically, communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to participate in an on-call support rota.
- Flexibility to travel up to 25% across the United Kingdom and occasionally Europe.
- Fluent written and verbal English language skills.
- Additional European languages, particularly German or Spanish, would be advantageous.
