We have an exciting opportunity for a Packaging Analyst/Planner to join our growing team at our Minworth facility in Birmingham. The Packaging Analyst/Planner will be responsible for overseeing and managing the movement, storage, and supply of goods and materials.
How you will contribute

Recommend and implement new and / or improve existing error proofing methods and technology.

Collect and compare time study data and systematic data to ensure accurate benchmarking to develop metrics and charting standards.

Support Operations packaging standpoint to solve and correct any issues in a timely manner.

Provide support to IP team and customer on packaging and continuous improvement initiatives at the individual work cell level including packaging studies to analyse effectiveness of the packaging system, development of packaging standards and improvements to existing packaging.

Build compile and report a weekly dashboard for packaging Inventory updates, consumption and recommendations based on usage.

Review and update Packaging Instructions in in-house systems to support building a BOM to support packaging ordering.

Coordinate, monitor and analyse material flow based on schedule.

Provide ordering volumes to packaging coordinator for placement of orders with DPW suppliers.

Plan and order all customer KLT container orders, liaise with operations, customer and supplier to ensure timely arrival of goods and stock held inventory.

Experience in Packaging and/or MPL planning and ordering, BI click experience.

Customer service background in Logistics, Packaging and planning with the ability to build relationships with the customer and handle problem resolution in a timely manner.

Experience in the documentation of processes, process charges and gathering specific requirements related to a project.

Understanding of Supply Chain concept and Automotive Logistics.

Experience using Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD, AOS / SAP systems.

Knowledge of Lean tools and concepts (VSM, CI, Kaizen, 6 Sigma).

Ability to adapt and work in an ever changing, high paced environment.
