As Customer Service Manager, you’ll lead the front-of-house reception team to deliver exceptional service to our guests and crew. You’ll be at the heart of the onboard hotel operation, ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to excellence and care.
From resolving guest queries with empathy and professionalism to managing crew documentation and logistics, your role is pivotal in creating a seamless and memorable experience for everyone on board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire the reception team to deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
- Engage with guests to understand their needs, ensuring their experience exceeds expectations.
- Handle guest concerns with discretion and efficiency, ensuring positive outcomes.
- Manage crew administration, including sign-on/off procedures, immigration documentation, and logistics coordination.
- Liaise with Port Agents to arrange cost-effective crew transfers and flights, including for guest entertainers.
- Oversee crew payroll, currency exchange, and secure passport storage.
- Support the onboard HR Manager with administrative and operational tasks.
- Plan services and activities based on passenger and crew profiles for each voyage.
- Organise and deliver onboard functions such as weddings and corporate events with precision and sensitivity.
- Attend corporate-sponsored social events as required.
To be successful in this role, you will bring,
- Proven experience managing a team in a customer-facing role, ideally within hospitality, hotels, or cruise operations.
- A recognised qualification in Hotel or Hospitality Management (e.g., HND) is desirable.
- Background in a busy 4 or 5-star hotel or resort environment.
- Strong administrative and planning skills, with attention to detail in data-sensitive areas such as immigration.
- Excellent computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office and PMS systems.
- A natural ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
