PITCH Middlesbrough is looking for reliable, friendly and energetic Bar Support Staff to work across shifts, including evenings, weekends and live-sport events. You will play a key role in delivering excellent guest experiences by supporting bar operations, maintaining service flow and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Key Responsibilities
- Support bar service — assist bartenders with glassware, bottle handling, garnishes and simple drink preparation where permitted; help maintain an efficient service flow during peak periods.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation — clear and clean tables, bars and service areas, polish glassware, restock bar fridges and keep back-of-house and front-of-house areas tidy.
- Customer care — greet guests when appropriate, assist with basic enquiries, support order fulfilment and ensure guests receive timely, friendly service.
- Stock and deliveries — help with stock rotation, assist in receiving deliveries, check items for accuracy and store them securely under supervision.
- Compliance and safety — follow age-check procedures, food safety and health & safety guidelines; report any hazards or incidents to the management team.
- Assist with events and promotions — support set-up and breakdown for live-sport screenings and promotional activity, helping ensure consistent brand presentation.
- Cash and till support — assist with basic till tasks and float handling when trained and authorised; ensure accurate handing over to the bar team.
- Team collaboration — work closely with bartenders, floor staff and managers to deliver efficient service, share information and contribute to a positive work environment.
