PITCH is a brand new dynamic, high‑energy sports bar operating under the Pneuma Group, known for its strong brand identity and exceptional customer experiences. We are looking for enthusiastic Bar Staff to join PITCH Middlesbrough and help deliver outstanding service to our guests during live sport and regular trading. This is a frontline, customer‑facing role where a friendly, efficient and team‑minded approach is essential.

The Opportunity

PITCH Middlesbrough is recruiting Bar Staff to support busy shifts across evenings, weekends and major sporting fixtures. You will work as part of a small, energetic team to serve drinks, prepare basic beverages, maintain bar areas and ensure guests receive a warm, professional welcome. This role is ideal for people who enjoy a fast‑paced environment, take pride in great customer service and want to develop their hospitality skills within a values‑led group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver great customer service — greet guests, take and serve orders promptly, handle payments accurately and resolve routine enquiries with a positive attitude.
  • Prepare and serve drinks — make a variety of beverages to standard, maintain consistent product quality and support upsell of specials and promotions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe bar area — keep workspaces tidy, restock glassware and supplies, follow cleaning schedules and support opening/closing checks.
  • Support compliance and safety — carry out age checks, follow licensing rules, adhere to food safety guidance and report any hazards or incidents.
  • Assist with stock and deliveries — help receive deliveries, rotate stock, monitor levels and report discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Work as part of the team — communicate effectively with colleagues, support team members during busy periods and follow direction from shift leaders.
  • Contribute to a positive guest experience — be present on the floor, support queue management during peak times and uphold PITCH’s high standards for hospitality.
