Position Overview
Harris Williams Capital Solutions team is one of the pre‑eminent advisors delivering strategic advisory solutions to private equity and alternative investment sponsors (General Partners or GPs).
The team focuses on secondary advisory, co‑investment, and structured capital transactions, advising on sell‑side secondary deals, GP‑led transactions, and junior debt or preferred equity raises.
- Role and Responsibilities
- As an Associate in the London (Mayfair) office, your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting senior bankers and clients on Capital Solutions transactions, including secondary advisory, co‑investment, and structured capital deals.
- Leading analytical work, preparing financial models, synthesizing findings from complex analyses, and applying valuation methodologies.
- Overseeing junior team workstreams and managing analytical support for live deal execution and new business development.
- Presenting findings and insights to internal stakeholders and clients during pitch, planning, and update calls.
- Co‑ordinating client relationships and networking with prospective investors throughout deal execution.
Qualifications and Experience
Desired qualifications for an experienced Associate include
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity.
- Direct experience with secondary transactions and/or co‑investments (strongly preferred).
- Strong quantitative analysis skills and advanced financial modelling capability.
- Problem‑solving and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex data trends.
- Project management experience, leading analytical work and overseeing junior team members.
- Client‑facing skills, including effective communication during pitch and update sessions.
- Ability to work in the United Kingdom (sponsorship available).
