The predicted salary is between 60000 - 80000 £ per year.
Lead delivery of complex high voltage direct current projects, acting as the vital link between UK based technical teams and international project teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead as senior interface between product engineering, central technology, and project execution teams to drive the right solutions for large HVDC projects.
- Collaborate closely with UK manufacturing teams to align equipment delivery with project schedules.
- Identify risks early and drive timely escalation and mitigation to protect project timelines and costs.
- Apply technical knowledge to make sound judgment calls on complex operational, engineering, and manufacturing challenges.
- Support customer negotiations and build trusted relationships that strengthen long term partnerships.
- Spot new opportunities alongside functional partners to develop innovative solutions for customers.
Special Role Requirements
- Some travel to project sites and manufacturing locations may be required.
- Occasional flexibility around working hours may be needed to support key project milestones.
Skills & Qualifications
- Substantial experience managing or supporting delivery of HVDC (or similar high voltage/power) projects, ideally through a full delivery cycle.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, ideally including valve technology, and the ability to spot and address risks before they become issues.
- Ability to work confidently with matrix teams, influencing without direct authority to keep projects on track.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, confidence to engage credibly with customers, engineers, and senior stakeholders.
- Structured, analytical approach to problem solving, backed by sound technical judgment.
- Established project management skills and ability to plan, document, and drive programs to successful completion.
A formal education and university degree in electrical engineering, power electronics, or a related subject is nice to have, but practical experience is most valued.
Working Arrangements
This permanent position is based at our Stafford office with a hybrid model: at least 3 days a week in office, remaining days remote.
