Our client is a housing association based in Swindon, with a repairs and maintenance team covering Swindon and the surrounding areas. They are a people-focused organisation with a clear commitment to resident service and operational quality.
This is a permanent, full-time Multi-Skilled Plumber role working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will be out in the field carrying out plumbing repairs across a residential portfolio, with a company van provided. There is an out-of-hours callout rota in place, with additional payment on top of your base salary.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out plumbing repairs to a high standard as your primary trade
- Delivering first-time fixes and supporting wider maintenance activities where needed
- Assessing and treating damp and mould when required
- Recording job information accurately and following agreed procedures
- Working safely at all times and completing risk assessments as part of your day-to-day
- Providing a positive, professional experience for residents at every visit
Skills and experience:
Essential:
- Qualified plumber with a Level 2 NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent
- Full UK driving licence
- Able to participate in an out-of-hours callout rota
- Experience working in a customer-facing environment
Desirable:
- Background in social housing or property maintenance
- Experience with damp and mould assessment or treatment
