We are working with a Freeholder client for an inhouse legal position. You'll take ownership of cases from start to finish, representing the business in tribunal and court proceedings while also acting as a key point of contact for internal teams on legal matters. Alongside this, you'll play a part in supporting the business through ongoing legislative changes, helping ensure the wider team is informed, prepared, and operating in line with current requirements.
The Role
- Manage a caseload of property related disputes, representing the Freeholder interests at First Tier Tribunal applications, including attending hearings.
- Prepare and submit applications, responses, and supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
- Liaise with external solicitors and counsel where appropriate.
- Interpreting and advising on upcoming legislative changes impacting the business.
- Assist in developing internal legal guidance and best practice.
The Person
- Experience handling residential property disputes, including First Tier Tribunal matters.
- Strong understanding of litigation processes, including small claims and County Court procedures.
- Confident preparing legal documentation and managing cases through to resolution.
- Desirable Experience:
- Qualified Legal Executive or Solicitor.
- Exposure to leasehold property management or related sector.
