Our client is seeking an experienced Handyman/Caretaker to work on a temporary basis for the foreseeable future on a residential development based in South East London.

Hours: Mondays (7am to 3pm) & Tuesdays to Fridays (9am to 5pm)

Start Date: Friday 29th May

Temporary Pay Rate: £13.85 per hour + Holiday Pay (paid on a weekly basis)

Main Duties:

  • Assisting residents with any queries or requirements
  • Carrying out regular patrols of the building
  • Conducting health and safety inspections in accordance with our service standards and contractual obligations
  • Logging and reporting any maintenance issues to the managing agent and carrying out minor repair works where able
  • Carrying out repairs and maintenance duties in accordance with safe operating procedures and relevant health & safety policies
  • Management of keys
  • Complying with all Health and Safety requirements
  • Dealing with complaints
  • Maintaining the security of the Estate in general
  • Ensuring all common parts are clear of potential hazards including those attributable to seasonal changes including external footpaths
  • Keeping communal areas clear of any obstructions particularly fire evacuation routes and exits
  • Responding to emergencies including making safe glazing, leaks, lighting and tripping/slipping hazards
  • Providing a monthly repairs/maintenance report to the Property Manager highlighting any major or cyclical works which may be required in the future

  • Multi-trade Repair and Refurbishment Operations (Construction)
