Job Description Our Client are looking for an Assistant Building Manager to join their team at a luxury residential building in South East London. Working a 4 on 4 off rota, hours are 7am - 7pm. Support the Building Manager in the day-to-day management and presentation of a luxury residential development. Act as a visible and proactive presence across the development, ensuring communal areas, facilities and external spaces are maintained to a high standard. Carry out regular inspections of the building and identify any maintenance, cleanliness, health & safety or presentation issues. Assist with coordinating contractors and following up on maintenance issues to ensure works are completed to the required standard. Help maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the development, taking pride in delivering a first-class environment for residents. Assist with day-to-day resident requests and provide a friendly, professional and helpful service. Support with practical building management duties, including deliveries, keys and access requirements when required, but this will not be a purely office-based focused position. Monitor plant rooms, communal areas and other building facilities, reporting any issues promptly. Assist the Building Manager with inspections, maintenance schedules, contractor access and general operational tasks. Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance issues and works carried out. Previous building management or property experience is desirable but not essential. Practical and hands-on, with an interest in understanding how a building operates. Comfortable carrying out small maintenance and upkeep tasks rather than relying solely on contractors. Well presented, professional and confident when interacting with residents, contractors and colleagues. Friendly and approachable, with excellent customer service skills. Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining a high-quality environment. Willing to learn and develop knowledge of building systems, maintenance and residential property management.
