Job Description
We are working with a specialist property litigation practice to find an experienced Paralegal to join their Litigation and Dispute Resolution team, supporting a varied caseload of property disputes and contributing to the delivery of high-quality legal services for their clients.
The Opportunity
The ideal candidate will have experience assisting with service charge and ground rent recovery (residential and commercial), breach of covenant matters, and wider landlord and tenant disputes. You will work closely with solicitors and senior leaders, gaining exposure to complex cases before the County Court and First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) while developing your skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.
The Role
As a Paralegal within the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with defended service charge, ground rent, and possession matters (residential and commercial).
- Reviewing claims, collating documentation from clients and agents, and preparing early assessments on the merits of defences and counterclaims.
- Supporting fee earners with breach of covenant matters, including legal research, case preparation, and drafting advice.
- Preparing bundles, drafting correspondence, and ensuring compliance with Court and Tribunal deadlines.
- Conducting research and preparing landlord and tenant advice as required by clients.
- Maintaining accurate case management, including diarising key dates and updating databases.
- Providing regular and concise reporting to clients and agents.
- Supporting the wider team on ad-hoc tasks and contributing to a high-quality, client-focused service.
The Person
We are looking for an organised, proactive and detail-focused paralegal who thrives under pressure and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team. You will be confident handling multiple priorities and communicating with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
Skills & Experience
- Previous paralegal experience, ideally within property litigation, landlord and tenant, or civil litigation.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, and agents.
- Experience in service charge, ground rent recovery, breach of covenant, and general landlord and tenant matters (desirable).
- Ability to support complex caseloads and follow instructions accurately.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work and maintaining professional standards
This is an office based role.
