We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Estate Operative/Caretaker to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and upkeep across a residential development. This is a part-time role suited for someone with excellent attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a professional approach to resident interaction.
Hours: Monday to Saturday, 08:00 - 11:00 (18 hours/week)
Salary: £11,428.56 per annum (£12.21 per hour)
Location: Liverpool WA10
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular cleaning of communal areas including entrances, staircases, bin rooms, and lift interiors.
- Patrol the premises throughout the day, inspecting for cleanliness, repairs, safety hazards, and security issues.
- Ensure all fire escapes and external doors remain secure and operational.
- Monitor bin and refuse areas; assist with proper waste management and coordination with local authorities.
- Replace light bulbs and report maintenance faults or resident concerns.
- Monitor parking areas and ensure access for emergency vehicles.
- Perform light maintenance and decoration tasks (e.g. painting, plumbing, clearing debris).
- Maintain accurate logbooks for incidents, faults, and completed tasks.
- Assist in emergency procedures including snow/ice clearance and alarm testing.
- Support plant care, stock management, and cleanliness of the porter's desk and tools storage.
- Ensure courteous, professional interactions with residents, guests, and contractors.
