Job Description
If you're a property manager who thrives on variety, enjoys building real relationships with residents and clients, and wants your work to genuinely shape how people experience the buildings they live in – this could be the role for you.
About our client
Our client is a property management business with a reputation for doing things properly. Their mixed-use residential team looks after a portfolio of high-profile London developments, and they're growing. You'll be joining a team that takes pride in detail, supports each other, and is trusted by some of the most demanding clients in the sector.
The role
As block manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of mixed-use residential developments, both manned and unmanned, and be the person clients, residents, and onsite teams rely on. You'll set the strategy for each site, keep standards high, manage budgets, and make sure everything from compliance to communication is handled with care. It's a role with real autonomy and the backing of an experienced team behind you.
What you'll be doing
- Managing a portfolio of developments day-to-day, including site inspections, audits, and compliance checks
- Building and managing service charge budgets, and overseeing financial performance across your sites
- Leading meetings with RMC Directors, Resident Associations, and developers
- Line managing onsite staff and coordinating contractors to deliver excellent service
- Staying on top of H&S, insurance, and legislative requirements across the portfolio
- Reporting clearly and confidently to clients, residents, and internal stakeholders
You'll thrive here if…
- You've managed large, complex residential developments before and know what good looks like
- You're confident interpreting leases and navigating the legal and financial side of property management
- You enjoy building strong relationships and can hold your own in a room with directors, residents, and contractors
- You're organised, commercially minded, and have a sharp eye for detail
- Bonus points if you've worked on developments delivered by major London housebuilders
Why join them
You'll get a competitive salary (£45,000-£50,000), a supportive team, and the chance to manage genuinely interesting buildings in one of the world's great cities. Our client invests in their people and backs them to do their best work.
