About our client
Our client is a leading residential developer and operator with a growing build-to-rent portfolio. This role is based at one of their flagship schemes, a high-rise tower in South London with several hundred homes, classed as a Higher-Risk Building. It's a busy, high-profile site where both operations and resident experience really count.
The role
They need an experienced interim Senior Facilities Manager to take charge of building operations and lead the on-site facilities team. You'll keep M&E services, compliance and presentation standards on track while running a fast turnover operation of 70+ move-outs and move-ins every month. You'll work closely with the Site Manager and Regional Property Manager and keep senior leadership up to date.
What you'll be doing
- Overseeing building operations and M&E services across a Higher-Risk Building, with compliance always front of mind
- Making sure the building stays fully compliant with health and safety, fire safety and building safety rules, including higher-risk building duties
- Managing the void and turnover process so homes are inspected, repaired and ready to let quickly and to a high standard
- Leading and developing the on-site maintenance and cleaning teams, setting clear standards and priorities
- Looking after budgets, supplier performance and lifecycle planning to protect the asset over the long term
- Working closely with the operations, leasing and resident experience teams so residents get a seamless experience
Skills and experience
Essential
- Senior facilities management experience in large residential, BTR, multifamily or high-rise buildings
- A recognised facilities management qualification, such as IWFM
- Solid working knowledge of M&E and compliance in higher-risk residential buildings
- Confident leadership, with the ability to bring on-site teams with you through change
- Strong organisation and communication skills
Desirable
- Experience with RealPage or similar property management software
- A background in high-volume void and turnover managementImmediate or short-notice availability for an initial fixed-term contract.
