An opportunity has arisen for a chance to manage a mixed-tenure portfolio of around 550 homes across the Maidstone and Medway area. You'll run your own diary, with the backing of a well-established national business. Our client is a market-leading national provider of housing, neighbourhood and workplace services, with decades of experience behind them. Their housing management team looks after affordable, private rented and leasehold homes for local authorities, registered providers and investors. They put real focus on building strong communities.
The role
You'll be the go-to Property Manager for a mixed tenure portfolio of social, affordable and shared ownership homes. The role is remote, with site visits and travel up to three days a week, so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. You'll report into a regional manager and take full ownership of your patch.
What you'll be doing
- Managing voids, sign-ups, inventories and check-outs from start to finish
- Carrying out regular estate inspections and making sure communal area issues get sorted quickly
- Handling anti-social behaviour cases, including preparing legal notices and attending court where needed
- Logging and tracking repairs, and holding contractors to account on quality and timescales
- Working with the technical team to keep health and safety compliance on track
- Producing monthly and quarterly client reports and keeping tenancy records accurate
Skills and experience
Essential
- Experience in frontline housing management, residential lettings or a similar property role
- Hands-on experience with voids, sign-ups, estate inspections and repairs reporting
- A good working knowledge of housing legislation and regulatory requirements
- Strong organisational and IT skills, and the confidence to manage a varied workload independently
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable
- Experience taking ASB cases through to legal action
- Experience across mixed tenures, including shared ownership
- Familiarity with repairs management software such as Fix-Flo
