An opportunity has arisen to join the Financial Planning team as a Senior Paraplanner.
As a Paraplanner at PM+M, you’ll be at the heart of our client service delivery. You’ll work closely with our advisers to help business owners, professionals, and retirees navigate their financial futures.
We’re looking for a proactive, detail-driven individual to join our Financial Planning team in Blackburn. Whether you’re early in your paraplanning journey or bring years of experience, this is your chance to make a real impact—supporting advisers and clients.
What the role involves:
- Researching products, funds, and financial solutions to support tailored advice.
- Preparing suitability reports and documentation for client meetings.
- Highlighting opportunities and areas for improvement in client portfolios.
- Supporting compliance through pre-sale checks and project work.
- Driving innovation by contributing to improve team efficiency.
- Being the point of contact within the team for technical queries.
- Driving efficiencies and improvements with the team.
- Working with AI software to prepare research and advice.

We’re looking for someone who’s not just technically capable, but also collaborative, curious, and client-focused. You’ll thrive here if you:
- Are a team player with a passion for financial planning.
- Can juggle priorities and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
- Have strong initiative and project management skills.
- Are confident producing suitability letters and communicating with clients.
- Are comfortable working independently and managing your own workload.
- Have 2+ years’ experience in paraplanning.
- Minimum of CII Diploma qualified.
- Strong knowledge base and previous experience in the role.
- Hold GCSEs (Grade C/5+) in Maths and English.
- Be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and ideally financial planning tools and systems.
- Be open to using AI tools to enhance productivity.
- Have experience in pension switches, group pensions, cashflow modelling, investment advice, Protection advice, inheritance tax and more.
