An opportunity has arisen to join the Financial Planning team as a Paraplanner in Blackburn.
As a Paraplanner at PM+M, you will be at the heart of our client service delivery. You will work closely with our advisers to help business owners, professionals, and retirees navigate their financial futures.
The Role Involves:
- Researching products, funds, and financial solutions to support tailored advice.
- Preparing suitability reports and documentation for client meetings.
- Highlighting opportunities and areas for improvement in client portfolios.
- Supporting compliance through pre-sale checks and project work.
- Driving innovation by contributing to improve team efficiency.
- Working with AI software to prepare research and advice.
Your Development:
We provide a complementary range of learning opportunities to ensure that you maximise your potential in areas such as becoming a trusted adviser, networking, and presentation skills, with opportunities for progression around the firm. These will comprise personal effectiveness as well as your technical skills. We have 6 monthly performance review conversations to ensure your development is on track, as well as optional monthly 1-2-1s. You will also have the opportunity to work with a mentor. Your Attributes:
As well as experience within admin or financial planning, we would like you to be:
- Keen to play an active role in a dynamic team and willing to contribute to the success of the team and the firm as a whole.
- Passionate about providing great client service.
- Great at communicating with people at all levels - face to face and in writing.
- Positive and good at using your initiative.
- Good at working under pressure.
- Motivated and well organised.
- Excellent at managing your own workload within given timescales and ensuring clients' expectations are met, or exceeded.
- Able to provide input to Managers on projects and how to better what we do for all parties.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Have 2+ years' experience in paraplanning.
- Have Financial Planning Qualifications or actively working towards it.
- Have experience in pension switches, group pensions, cashflow modelling, investment advice, protection advice, inheritance tax and more.
- Be open to using AI tools to enhance productivity.
- Be eager to develop themselves long term.
- Be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and ideally financial planning tools and systems.
- Have minimum GCSE passes at both Maths and English.
- Have experience managing a busy and changing workload, working as part of a team.
