Due to our continued growth, we are seeking an Automation and Maintenance Engineer to join our team! In this newly created position, the successful candidate will play a key role being responsible for the design, programming, and maintenance of electrical automation systems and ensuring the reliability of electrical equipment across the facility. This role focuses on PLCs, control panels, electrical circuits, and preventive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement electrical control systems for automated machinery.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.) and HMIs.
- Maintain and update electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, and drives into automation systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair faults in motors, drives, control panels, and power distribution systems.
- Conduct electrical testing and calibration of instruments.
- Maintain records of electrical maintenance and spare parts inventory.
- Support energy efficiency and electrical reliability initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming, electrical circuits, and industrial automation.
- Experience with motor control, VFDs, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards (IEC, BS, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in electrical safety or automation systems.
- Experience with SCADA systems and industrial networking.
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Electrical technical expertise.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 7.30am- 4.30pm
