Who You Will Be Working With
You’ll be part of PMG’s Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team of senior, customer‑facing engineers that operate at the intersection of business problems, technology, and platform innovation. FDE partners deeply with priority customers, vertical leaders, Client Strategy, Analytics, Product, and Engineering to solve complex, high‑impact challenges that don’t fit standard playbooks. The team builds custom technical solutions, within the PMG Operating System (Alli), sometimes integrating with Alli from a sandbox environment, and sometimes outside the platform entirely. Remaining focused on driving meaningful business outcomes and shaping what becomes scalable over time. This is a small, senior group designed for depth over breadth, operating where clarity is earned through execution, not documentation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- The Forward Deployed Engineering Senior Associate leads solution walkthroughs, scopes and delivers MVP customizations, and identifies opportunities to expand customer value.
- This role serves as a trusted technical partner who connects business needs with feasible, revenue‑driving solutions.
- Lead customer workshops to capture requirements and define solution scope.
- Design and deliver MVP solutions that demonstrate measurable value.
- Identify opportunities for custom applications, extensions, or workflow automation.
- Support adoption and renewal preparation through technical insight and execution.
- Coordinate martech integrations across tagging, audiences, and measurement systems.
- Translate customer performance signals into actionable recommendations.
- Partner with Customer Strategy to surface organic growth opportunities.
- Contribute reusable patterns, documentation, and learnings back to the team.
- Use AI, automation, and technology to elevate the quality and efficiency of work, streamline processes, and enable faster, more informed decision‑making in your role.
What You Will Bring
We’re not looking for a traditional software engineer profile. We’re looking for someone who is technically fluent, business‑curious, and comfortable building in ambiguity. You’ll be successful in this role if you bring:
- Strong technical literacy and the ability to design, evaluate, and build solutions without needing to be the deepest specialist in any single language or framework.
- Experience solving real business problems with technology, not just implementing predefined requirements.
- Comfort working across systems, data flows, APIs, and platforms, including modern cloud and measurement environments.
- Experience in customer‑facing or consultative technical roles (e.g., forward deployed engineering, solutions architecture, technical consulting, sales engineering, or similar).
- The ability to reason about tradeoffs, feasibility, and risk when the “right answer” isn’t obvious.
- A bias toward execution: you’re comfortable moving from problem to prototype to production quickly.
- Familiarity with AI‑assisted and agentic coding tools, and the judgment to use them effectively within standards and best practices.
- Strong communication skills, especially the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- A track record of influencing decisions without direct authority.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and comfort operating where the path to value isn’t fully defined upfront.
- An understanding that reuse, scale, and platform contribution are earned through impact—not assumed at the start.
What We Offer
- Professional Development: Take advantage of our learning and development programmes, mentorship opportunities, and career advancement support.
- Generous Annual Leave: Benefit from our substantial holiday allowance PTO recharge and spend time with loved ones.
- Parental Leave: We provide parental leave to support your family during important life events.
- Pension Plan: Plan for your future with up to a competitive 5% contribution match.
- Healthcare: Our Cash Benefit Health Plan ensures coverage for everyday medical expenses and routine care.
