We are looking for an ambitious Technologist / Architect with a desire to step up and take on a dynamic role with autonomy and the potential to grow and develop the business across all RIBA work stages. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Technologist / Architect for a full-time hybrid role min 3 days in the office. This position is based in Farnham, with the opportunity to work from home. You won’t be sat in the corner churning out building control applications 37 hours a week! There is a lot of variety and you will be involved in every aspect of the project; site visits and meetings with clients, consultants and contractors are essential so you will need your own vehicle. If you would like to get involved with business development, great! This is very much encouraged and rewarded accordingly, and your input to the business is valuable. This business isn’t about producing drawings; it’s about professional advice, great design delivered with technical skill and adding value to our clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Architectural design
- Preparation of planning applications
- The creation of detailed technical drawings
- Working and construction drawings
- Measured surveys
- Submitting and monitoring planning applications
- Ensuring compliance with project requirements and regulations
You will collaborate closely with the managing director, clients, and construction professionals to support the successful delivery of projects.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Architectural Technology and Technical Drawing, Part 3 Architect with min 2 years post qualification experience.
- Experience with creating accurate Working Drawings and Architectural Drawings.
- Ability to develop precise Construction Drawings and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Archicad and Twinmotion software.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Professional accreditation or membership in a recognised architectural organisation is a plus; support provided for MCIAT as required.
