The Role:
- Preparing and delivering Hedge Designation Memos in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US GAAP, covering FX, interest rate, and commodity risks.
- Producing derivative valuation reports (IRS, options, FX forwards, inflation swaps, and other instruments).
- Delivering hedge effectiveness testing (regression, hypothetical derivative, critical terms) and preparing compliant journal entries.
- Supporting clients in discussions with external auditors on valuations and derivative accounting.
- Contributing to business development and marketing of PMC's hedge accounting services.
- Assisting with client onboarding, trade setup, invoicing, and ongoing platform administration.
- Ensuring compliance with SOC 1 requirements and acting as a key contact for audits.
- Collaborating with developers and the Treasury team to enhance the web-based hedge accounting and valuation platform.
- Supporting broader operational activities as required.
What you'll bring:
- PartâQualified candidates will have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a hedge accounting role.
- Conceptual and practical understanding of different types of derivatives.
- IFRS 9 and ASC 815/820 basic understanding, any additional local GAAP is a bonus.
- Highly proficient at MS Excel and comfortable with large databases of information.
- Passion for derivative accounting and financial markets.
- Selfâmotivated; possessing tenacity and having perseverance.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a balanced open personality, straightforward in style.
- Comfortable to deal with clients and external auditors with minimum supervision.
