Purpose of the Role
The role of the Studio Export Business Development Manager is to increase and maximise PMC Studio product sales across all territories outside the UK & USA through a network of international distributors and strategic partners.
The role is responsible for developing long-term B2B distributor relationships, growing market share, increasing brand awareness, delivering annual sales targets and providing a high level of technical product expertise to support customers, distributors and major projects.
Responsibilities
- Grow PMC turnover across export territories and achieve annual sales and order intake targets through existing distributors and new business opportunities.
- Develop strategic business plans with each distributor, agreeing annual objectives, sales targets, marketing activities and growth initiatives.
- Identify, appoint and onboard new distributors where required to strengthen PMC's global market presence.
- Build strong relationships with distributor management, sales teams and technical staff to ensure PMC remains a primary brand focus.
- Support distributors in developing opportunities within recording studios, broadcast, education, post-production and immersive audio markets.
- Provide advanced product training and technical support, ensuring distributors have an excellent understanding of PMC technologies, applications and competitive advantages.
- Support distributors with customer demonstrations, evaluations, system recommendations and technically complex sales opportunities.
- Work with the Marketing department to execute global product launches, campaigns and regional marketing initiatives.
- Attend international trade shows, customer events and distributor meetings to promote PMC and strengthen customer relationships.
- Gather market intelligence, competitor activity and customer feedback to support future product development and commercial strategy.
- Produce accurate monthly sales forecasts and participate in weekly invoice planning meetings.
- Liaise with Finance, Logistics, Engineering and Customer Service to ensure excellent distributor support and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain expert technical knowledge across the complete PMC Studio product portfolio.
- Minimum 5 years Sales and/or Business Development experience
- Qualification in Business and/or Sales
