Overview

Our client is a specialist managed business internet provider offering ultra‑fast broadband, dark fibre and Wi‑Fi networks that connect multi‑site, multi‑user environments.

They sell to Defence, Leisure, BTR, Construction, Student, Data centres, Corporate and the Public Sector.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, develop and close new business opportunities in the Public Sector and/or Defence.
  • Work closely with the management team to identify opportunities and establish new partnerships in the Managed Services area.
  • Leverage your network to uncover opportunities for growth across Local, Central and wider Public Sector markets.
  • Develop and execute business strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Build and maintain sustainable, long‑term relationships with the largest and most complex customers, maintaining a sales pipeline that reaches at least 3× the target coverage.

Qualifications

  • Substantial experience in business development within the Public Sector.
  • Experience in complex deal management and a solid understanding of Public Sector procurement, bidding and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of the telecoms industry, including Wi‑Fi, Fixed Line Connectivity, SD‑WAN and Io T products.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • A hunter mindset, driven to identify and close new business.
