Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work on projects involving diverse hazard types, providing support both within multi-discipline engineering teams and as part of our standalone Process Safety consulting services.
Mentoring and coaching opportunities are available for candidates interested in developing their skills, especially those who possess some but not all preferred skills and experience. PM Group offers an established Subject Matter Expert (SME) technical pathway for Process Safety staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in Process/Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards it is advantageous.
- Relevant professional experience in process safety and process design, with a good understanding of the subject.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated, organized, reliable, with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Enthusiastic team player with a collaborative approach.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing project demands.
- Knowledge of process safety areas such as ATEX/DSEAR, PHA, COMAH, etc.
- Thorough knowledge of UK and EU health & safety legislation, codes of practice, and standards.
- Experience in process design, including developing and maintaining PFDs, P&IDs, equipment sizing, and process calculations.
- Experience with client standards and legislation from Europe and the USA is a plus.
