We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineerto join PM Group working for us in our vibrant Manchester office.
Job Title: Project Engineer
Location: Manchester
Contract: Full time β Permanent
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Projects and working with the Project Manager(s) on a daily basis, you will be responsible for co-ordinating the design activities of multi-discipline design teams on large projects or a portfolio of smaller projects. You may also be required to independently project manage smaller or less complex projects and assignments within the office.
Effective communication is vital as you'll be working closely with design teams, management teams and also the client.
A key part of the role will be coordinating the design teams, ensuring design quality is delivered, developing and implementing multi-discipline design programmes and chairing design progress meetings. You'll also be responsible for ensuring engineering activities are carried out in line with business processes.
Qualifications
- Previous Engineering or Consultancy experience
- Degree or equivalent in related subject (e.g. mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical / control / instrumentation engineering.)
- Working towards or already achieved chartered engineer status.
- Specific sector related experience including; Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Chemical, Petrochemical, Energy & Environmental and Gas.
- UK project experience including some exposure to construction and installation activities.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant UK design standards.
- Commercial awareness.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
