Due to our ongoing success, we are seeking a Plant 3D Administrator to join our BIM team, based in our Manchester office.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical leader and coordinator for the Process Design Team to achieve project deliverables and contribute to the BIM Execution Plan.
  • Set up and support/administer 3D Process Projects and the Process Piping Group across multiple offices, including:
  • Loading and maintaining design software and updates
  • Establishing project coordinate systems and units
  • Agreeing on area/model breakdowns and maintaining project models
  • Managing model file indexes and project-specific access groups
  • Developing and managing project pipe and support specifications and catalogues
  • Handling non-spec items and instruments, custom data, and project reporting
  • Managing isometric setup and control
  • Developing project work instructions and job notes
  • Auditing project models and managing exports and software integration
  • Supporting troubleshooting and problem-solving for the design team
  • Communicate effectively across multiple discipline teams.
  • Attend weekly modeling meetings to review progress and resolve issues.
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and maximize efficiency.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development in BIM software and processes.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a technical subject (e.g., engineering) preferred.
  • Proven experience in engineering design consultancy environments.
  • Extensive experience in the administration and setup of 3D process models.
  • Experience in similar roles and functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with CADWorx, S3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Navisworks, Revit (desirable but not essential).
  • Managerial experience is a plus; leadership aptitude is important.
  • Excellent time management skills.
