- Assist with waste and wastewater oversight, including contractor coordination and compliance checks.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, including drills, competency checks, and documentation.
- Compliance, Inspections and Reporting
- Assist with preparation for EA, HSE, corporate and customer audits, including evidence gathering and action tracking.
- Support environmental compliance tasks such as recordkeeping, sampling coordination, and routine reporting.
- Help maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems through inspections, audits, and document updates.
- Support incident reporting, investigation follow-up, and closure of corrective actions.
- Projects, Change and Closure Activities
- Provide EHS input into small projects, modifications and closure-related activities.
- Assist with permit variations, notifications and regulatory communications as required.
- Support the Management of Change (MOC) process, ensuring actions are completed and risks assessed.
- Contractor and Permit to Work Support
- Coordinate contractor access, RAMS review, inductions and on-site supervision where required.
- Support the permit to work process and ensure safe execution of tasks.
- Documentation and Administration
- Update procedures, risk assessments, training records and compliance documentation.
- Support preparation of EHS metrics, dashboards and reports for site leadership.

- Exposure to hazardous chemicals or chemical processes.
- Solid understanding of UK EHS legislation and its practical application.
- Experience with incident investigation, risk assessment and contractor management.
- Comfortable working in a plant environment and engaging with operators, engineers and contractors.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Background: Chemical Degree
Preferred (Not Essential)
- Experience in a chemical manufacturing or COMAH-influenced environment.
