About the role
We're offering a valuable opportunity on a temporary basis until 30th June 2027, for a Governance Manager to step into a central role at Plymouth Community Homes, working closely with our Board and senior leaders to ensure effective and compliant governance.
You’ll lead a small, capable team and take ownership of key governance activity—from shaping high-quality Board and committee meetings to strengthening policies, processes and frameworks that support great decision-making. This is a role for someone who enjoys pace, variety and influence—balancing big-picture thinking with brilliant attention to detail.
Ideal candidate
- Brings strong experience from a governance, company secretarial or regulated environment
- Is confident working with Boards and senior stakeholders, building credibility quickly
- Knows how to plan, prioritise and deliver—especially in fast-moving environments
- Leads by example, supporting and developing others to perform at their best
- Has a sharp eye for detail and a passion for getting things right
- Understands governance, compliance and regulation—and how to make it practical
- Communicates clearly, confidently and with impact
