About the role
We're looking for an ambitious and motivated individual to join our Innovation, Transformation & Digital & IT team as an Apprentice Cyber Security Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional cyber security environment whilst studying towards a Level 4 Cyber Security Analyst Apprenticeship. Working alongside experienced IT and Cyber Security professionals, you'll play an active role in helping to protect our digital infrastructure, investigate security risks, support cyber security operations and contribute to maintaining a secure technology environment. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in Cyber Security and Digital Technology while earning, learning and developing industry-relevant skills.
What you'll be doing
- Support the identification and investigation of cyber security vulnerabilities, threats and risks
- Assist with monitoring and improving the security of our digital systems and infrastructure
- Research emerging cyber security threats and attack techniques and help identify effective defence measures
- Gain experience using cyber security technologies, security tools and scripting techniques
- Assist with maintaining our Digital & IT Infrastructure, including network connectivity and cloud-based environments
- Support cyber security incident and problem management activities
- Help produce reports, documentation and presentations relating to cyber security operations
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to help promote good cyber security practices

Apprenticeship Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this apprenticeship, candidates must:
- Meet the apprenticeship entry requirements and demonstrate the commitment and capability to successfully complete the programme
- Hold GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)
- Hold one of the following: An A-Level in ICT, An International Baccalaureate Level 3 qualification in ICT, A Level 3 Apprenticeship in a related subject, A BTEC Extended Diploma in IT
- Have a minimum of 12 months' workplace experience within a technical or IT-related role
- Be willing to work towards achieving a Level 4 Cyber Security Analyst Apprenticeship Standard
The apprenticeship programme is expected to last approximately 20 months.
