About the role: As a Carpenter within PCH, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and improving our residents' homes. Every day brings something different, giving you the opportunity to use your carpentry skills while developing and applying a wide range of trade disciplines. Your work will include:
- Carpentry repairs and maintenance across our housing stock
- Repairs to UPVC windows and doors, lock replacements and forced entries
- Kitchen and bathroom installations
- Basic plumbing, tiling, decorating, plastering and masonry repairs
- Diagnosing faults and delivering effective solutions
- Responding to emergency repairs and helping keep homes safe
- Participating in the out‑of‑hours rota, providing an opportunity to increase your earnings
You'll be trusted to manage your own workload, maintain van stock, achieve first‑time fixes wherever possible, and deliver an exceptional service to our residents.
What we’re looking for: We're seeking someone who takes pride in their work, values quality workmanship, and enjoys solving problems. You’ll bring:
- A recognised trade qualification, ideally NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
- Strong carpentry experience, ideally within repairs and maintenance
- The ability to plan and organise your own workload effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- The confidence to work independently and make sound decisions
- A commitment to delivering high standards and excellent resident satisfaction
