About the role

As a Multi-Skilled Painter, you'll be responsible for carrying out painting and decorating works within customers' homes, primarily supporting our Damp & Disrepair programme.

In addition to your painting expertise, you'll undertake a range of complementary multi-skilled tasks to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

You'll work across occupied properties, delivering excellent customer service while helping us maintain safe, comfortable and well-presented homes for our residents.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Preparing and decorating areas affected by damp and mould.
  • Carrying out painting and decorating work to a high professional standard.
  • Completing minor plastering and ceiling repairs.
  • Fitting coving and undertaking basic carpentry and plumbing tasks.
  • Repairing rainwater goods where required.
  • Diagnosing issues and carrying out repairs during a single visit wherever possible.
  • Applying a variety of paints, primers, undercoats, varnishes, stains and specialist finishes.
  • Building positive relationships with customers, keeping appointments and delivering a first-class service.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from experienced painters and decorators who

  • Take pride in delivering quality workmanship
  • Have strong painting and decorating experience, ideally within social housing, maintenance or repairs
  • Possess a range of complementary trade skills, including basic carpentry, plastering and plumbing repairs
  • Can identify faults and resolve issues efficiently
  • Have excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Are motivated, reliable and committed to getting the job done right first time
