This role is best suited for individuals who can:
- Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
- Support the teacher in delivering informative and engaging lessons
- Support students with challenging behaviour
- Prepare for lessons (e.g. preparing resources, putting out equipment)
- Support with some of the pupils' additional care needs (e.g. feeding, toileting)
- Support the children in completing day-to-day tasks around the classroom and with their learning
- Ensure that pupils are safeguarded and supported
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
- Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
- 2 recent professional references
- Experience with challenging behaviours
- A calm & caring personality
- A strong and resilient personality and be committed to pupils' development
- Reading, writing, numeracy and communication skills
- Team Teach trained - or willing to attend training
