Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for solving problems on the move? We are on the lookout for a Field Service Engineer to join our clients growing team of field engineers, supporting customers across Croydon & London. This is a hands-on, full-time role where no two days are the same; you'll be maintaining, repairing, and optimising a wide range of material handling equipment to keep our clients moving.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Servicing, maintaining, and overhauling forklifts and material handling products
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults on gas, diesel, and electric trucks
  • Carrying out routine checks (brakes, steering, lift assemblies, oil/filter changes)
  • Preventative maintenance, including lubrication and adjustments
  • Testing and maintaining batteries (fluid levels, voltage checks, hydrometers)
  • Attending breakdowns to get customers up and running quickly
  • Working on mobile machinery components such as steering, lift chains, brakes, and hydraulics
  • Troubleshooting electrical drive systems, diesel/LPG engines, hydraulics, and drive-trains
  • Building strong relationships with customers and ensuring accurate service records

What We're Looking For:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Previous experience with forklifts or other material handling equipment
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills (mechanical/electrical)
  • Background in HGV, plant, construction, agricultural, automotive, REME, or similar industries
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and confident dealing with breakdowns
  • Solid electrical/mechanical engineering knowledge
