Full Time- 37 hours per week Overview This position plays a key role in executing an integrated communications program to increase brand awareness, drive lead generation, and deepen engagement with key stakeholders for PML Applications. This full-time position would coordinate efforts across multiple channels including social media, public relations, digital marketing, events, and direct stakeholder outreach. Responsibilities: Social Media Management Oversee corporate social media channel(s) Develop and implement a content calendar aligned with business development campaigns Write compelling copy and select engaging visuals for posts Monitor channels, engage with audiences, and join relevant conversations Track performance metrics and provide reports on social media KPIs Media Relations Draft press releases, media advisories and pitch materials Coordinate interviews, profiles, bylines and speaking opportunities Build and maintain the media list of key industry contacts Monitor news and identify opportunities for PML Applications commentary Amplify media coverage on social media and internal channels. Digital Marketing Explore options for digital marketing team and work with the PML MarComms function on website updates, content development and SEO Assist with email campaigns and marketing automation initiatives (in support of business development) Provide content and creative support for paid digital campaigns Track website metrics including traffic sources, bounce rates and conversions Events Coordinate logistics for events which PML Applications sponsors, attends or hosts Develop event promotions including social media, email invitations and website Assist with onsite staffing of booths/sessions and create event recaps Track event metrics such as registrations, leads generated and costs. Stakeholder Engagement Maintain stakeholder database and manage outreach cadence (alongside Business Development) Develop newsletters, email communications and presentation materials Assist with planning and executing stakeholder meetings and events Monitor stakeholder sentiment across channels and news sources General Contribute to monthly MarComms PALEC report highlighting activities and results Monitor channels for customer service/reputation management needs Ensure brand and messaging consistency across all communications Identify new communications tactics, tools and emerging channels to test Proofread and edit all external-facing communications materials Pitch in on other projects and responsibilities as needed Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, PR, journalism or related field 3-5 years of experience in communications, marketing, PR or social media roles Excellent writing, editing and communications skills Strong project management and organizational abilities Proficient with communications tools like Hootsuite, MailChimp, WordPress, etc. Experience with web analytics, SEO, marketing automation a plus Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and multi-task Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, consistency and results Familiarity with the maritime sector a plus The Communications Officer role is crucial for coordinating and implementing the various communications initiatives in a cohesive, integrated manner. The person in this role will work cross-functionally across the company to execute an impactful, data-driven program that elevates PML Applications brand reputation and engagement with target audiences.
