We are looking for motivated and dynamic nurses to expand and complement our innovative nursing team. As a Network Neonatal Unit we are a progressive level 3 unit currently providing 7 intensive care, 10 high dependency/special care and 16 transitional care cot’s, serving the population of Devon and Cornwall. It is anticipated to expand following collaborative ODN agreement and publication of the National Neonatal Service Specification.

Our accomplished nursing establishment, ANNP team, designated medical staff, Outreach Service and tier of support staff facilitate the local ethos of delivering highly specialised care in partnership with parents. The Neonatal Transport Service, SoNar South is also located within the unit, which provides an expert 24 hour retrieval service and gives QIS staff further opportunity to advance their clinical skills.

Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as ‘Priority’ and \"At Risk\" status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the delivery of effective quality care in accordance with local, Service Line and Trust policies and guidelines with the support of the senior nursing team
  • Participate in Network NICU service development
  • Participate in evidence based practice and neonatal research
  • Contribute to resource management in the provision of neonatal services
  • Engage in Clinical Governance initiatives within the Directorate
