Job Summary
The NHS has embarked upon an ambitious modernisation programme with a key objective to improve its service to patients. This programme is underpinned by trust wide Digital projects and innovations including the delivery of an EPR System at the Trust.
As a Digital Change Lead , you will play a crucial role in the successful adoption of this transformative technology. Working closely with our Digital Change Managers, you will collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical teams to support change management processes that enable seamless transitions to new digital ways of working.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be accountable to the Digital Change Manager for successful delivery of change management plans and activities to support Digital Implementations.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, using these relationships to facilitate service led change and assess the capability and capacity for transformational digital change.
- Liaise with the D&I Staff to ensure the delivery of new digital systems or technologies are delivered safely and offering a level of value to the service and patients.
- Liaise with the Benefits realisation manager or, if appropriate, benefits owners to ensure that continued accrual of benefits can be achieved and measured after the project has been completed for the organisation.
- Ensure benefit manager is supported with relevant metrics during implementation of new digital implementations and innovations to demonstrate effectiveness.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
Provide guidance, support and leadership of the Digital Change Analysts. Create a supportive, inclusive and innovative culture that promotes healthy positive change approach. Ensure that all staff within the team are suitably trained/released for training to allow them to undertake core roles and responsibilities. Plan and implement a programme of training for individual members of the Digital Change Team to ensure continued support for development. Encourage all staff to develop a professional approach to any work undertaken. Create an environment of learning enabling the team to remain solution focused and agile. Able to identify, advise on and implement improvements and development of services.
DIGITAL CHANGE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensuring alignment of digital change activity with strategic objectives. Support the Digital Change Manager in defining the digital change management strategy, ensuring the team utilise current and innovative approaches to change management. Initiating change assurance reviews. Identify and support necessary changes in the business process to allow for successful and safe integration of various digital innovations. Supporting clinical group, clinical and administrative management teams to identify and plan for implementing the mechanisms by which large scale change can be delivered and measured.
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
- Degree or equivalent level of demonstrable experience
- Postgraduate qualification in Project or Change Management or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Proven proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project and Outlook
Knowledge and Experience Essential
- Significant demonstrable experience in managing successful change projects in large complex organisation
- Demonstrable experience of leading teams through complex change processes
- Demonstrable experience of working across the multidisciplinary team to solve problems and implement changes
- Extensive proven knowledge of change and project management
- Proven experience of supporting digital transformation initiatives
- Demonstrates ability to develop and change practice according to research and evidence
- Demonstrable experience of engaging and supporting staff with varying IT literacy.
