About the role As a Gas Servicing & Breakdown Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring residents across Plymouth enjoy safe, warm and well-maintained homes.

This varied and rewarding position combines gas servicing, safety inspections, fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs, giving you the opportunity to utilise and further develop your technical expertise every day.

Please note: This position requires participation in a rotating out-of-hours emergency service, which includes some evening and weekend work.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Carrying out domestic landlord gas safety inspections and servicing
  • Diagnosing and repairing gas and heating system faults
  • Conducting inspections and identifying corrective works
  • Completing all relevant certification and compliance documentation
  • Ensuring all work is undertaken safely and in line with current gas regulations
  • Providing an excellent customer experience during every visit
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues while managing your own workload effectively No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for a skilled engineer who enjoys problem-solving and delivering high-quality workmanship.

Our ideal candidate for this role is someone who: We're seeking a motivated and customer-focused Gas Engineer who wants to continue developing their career and contribute to a high-performing team.

You will have

  • Current ACS qualifications including: - CCN1 - CPA1 - CENWAT - CKR1 - HTR1 Or recognised equivalent qualifications
  • Proven experience in a gas servicing, breakdown or maintenance role
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Good working knowledge of gas safety legislation and Health & Safety requirements
  • Experience using handheld electronic devices or mobile technology (desirable)
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A company van will be provided for business use.
