About the role As an Area Repairs Supervisor, you'll play a key role in delivering a high-quality, efficient and customer-focused repairs service across our occupied and empty homes.

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.

You'll lead repairs operations on the ground, manage contractors and colleagues, oversee inspections, and ensure work is completed safely, on time and to a high standard.

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, building positive relationships, and taking ownership of challenges.

You'll also participate in our out-of-hours on-call rota, helping to ensure our customers receive a responsive and reliable service when they need it most.

  • What you’ll be doing
  • Supervising the delivery of responsive repairs and minor works across your area
  • Carrying out inspections and surveys within occupied and vacant properties
  • Preparing schedules of work and overseeing planned maintenance projects
  • Managing contractor performance to ensure quality, value for money and compliance
  • Investigating disrepair issues and implementing effective solutions
  • Undertaking health and safety inspections and ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice
  • Leading, motivating and supporting operatives to achieve excellent outcomes
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to continuously improve the customer experience You’ll bring strong technical knowledge, a recognised trade or professional qualification, and a solid understanding of building works and health & safety legislation.

Just as importantly, you’ll be a confident communicator and a practical leader who takes pride in getting things right first time.

About You You'll be someone who

  • Has a recognised trade qualification or relevant professional experience within repairs, maintenance or property services
  • Demonstrates strong technical knowledge of building maintenance and repair practices
  • Understands health and safety legislation and its practical application
  • Is proactive, organised and confident making decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoys working collaboratively and building positive relationships with colleagues, customers and contractors
  • Takes pride in delivering excellent customer service and getting things right first time
