Overview

Plymouth City Council is now recruiting for motivated and enthusiastic toilet attendants to work in various locations across our corporate estate. We are seeking highly experienced customer-focused individuals with a wish to succeed and a willingness to work within a team in a challenging/busy environment. You will be the eyes and ears for the department dealing with customer’s questions on a regular basis.

Our toilet attendants work in various locations across the City, which all have a different focus and customer base. This will require the ability to be flexible and able to adjust to the needs of our service users.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning of public toilets and changing rooms to a high standard.
  • Opening and closing buildings as required including managing the alarm systems
  • Respond to call outs when incidents occur or are reported
  • Ability to report faults on the Councils Firmstep portal.
  • Being able to get to various sites within a specified time, full driving licence required

The public toilets are open 363 days a year and the team work on a shift rota including weekends.

Role Details

We currently have a 37-hour vacancy for working Wednesday to Saturday. Candidates will be required to complete shifts between 6:00 and 20:00. Working arrangements will be discussed at interview. Please see attached role profile for information.
