The Environmental Health and Licensing Service are committed to providing a high-quality service in a challenging financial climate and we have an exciting opportunity for a full time Senior Environmental Health Officer working in the Environmental Protection team, alongside the Head of Service.

The post holder must have a Degree or Masters Degree in Environmental Health and be eligible for Membership of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge of environmental health legislation particularly in environmental protection.

The post holder will mentor and supervise professional and technical staff in the environmental protection field in addition to waste enforcement, animal licensing, dog control and pest control. As well as excellent investigative and technical knowledge, experience of staff management is essential, including performance management.

Whilst there is a work base where you can work alongside environmental health and licensing colleagues.
