REF: ES124284 - A Female Personal Assistant is required to support a friendly lady in her late 40s who lives with Huntington's disease and mental health conditions who lives in the PL5 area of Plymouth.

We are looking for a mature, reliable, and compassionate individual, someone with relevant life experience and a good understanding of supporting people. We need someone who is flexible to accommodate health appointments and changing needs, the role is up to 16 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will have a good sense of humour, be patient, and be able to build a positive and trusting working relationship.

If you are a compassionate individual who enjoys supporting others to live independently and achieve a good quality of life, we would like to hear from you.

Supporting with personal care and maintaining personal hygiene.

Assisting with medication management and monitoring.

Supporting the individual to use her home safely and maintain her wellbeing.

Planning, preparing, and cooking nutritious meals to meet dietary and nutritional needs.

Providing support to attend essential appointments and community activities.

Promoting independence, choice, and dignity at all times.

Skills Needed

  • Caring, patient, and reliable. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Experience of supporting individuals with long-term conditions and/or mental health needs is desirable.
  • Ability to prepare and cook basic healthy meals.
  • Driver with access to an accessible vehicle for supporting attendance at appointments and community access.
  • Previous experience as a Personal Assistant, Support Worker, or Care Worker.
